CINEMA 4D BASECAMP
| SCHOOL OF MOTION
Following a desire to dive deep into the world of 3d mastery for many years now, I finally took some time to participate in the winter 2019 Cinema 4D Basecamp session from the design geniuses at School of Motion.
Below are a select few works in progress developed throughout the course that I was pleased with and aim to revisit (along with the remainder of the course) and refine down the line.

MODELING (SNES)
Now I'm playing with power. SUPER POWER! This is a 3D model I created in Cinema 4D of an ancient artifact known as a Super Nintendo console... an entertainment device beloved by our ancestors some younger folks might have seen or read about in a textbook. This is a work in progress, but I was eager to share it with the world in it's current state.
ANIMATION (SONIC + QBERT)
This was an exercise using motion paths, deformers, generators, and camera tools in Cinema 4D to create cinematic, character based set pieces. I created the Sonic the Hedgehog, checkpoint flag, and ring models based off what I learned in SNES modeling session as well as the animation, however everything else was provided by the School of Motion team. The animation, lighting and textures in the Q-bert scene (bottom right) were created by me.
LIGHTING (GTV)
Rotting the minds of countless generations, the once scourge of parents groups everywhere has now fallen victim to network decay and GTV was in desperate need of rebranding. The mandate for this exercise was to create different looks for different shows/brands via “painting with lights”, and I did my best to meet the task. Lighting is challenging, but practice makes perfect and I intend to do just that.
The “GTV” models were designed and provided by the fine folks at School of Motion!
