THE BUMP
| WWE
The Bump is a popular weekly podcast/digital show that features WWE Universe news and Superstar special guests previewing their upcoming matches, as well as contests and interviews.
This page features a short sampling of the motion design work I along with my team and were responsible for putting out in between a myriad of other projects on a weekly basis including custom segment opens, tournament brackets, and promotional graphics for sponsors and so on. Phew!

SEGMENT OPENS
Most of The Bump episodes would frequently feature a unique game, contest, and/or highlight reel of sorts that the hosts would initiate with the guests and the producers would commission a standalone open animation from our team to help transition to and introduce that segment. As we were a small team inundated with tons of other asset creation duties of producing each episode among other WWE projects, the challenge was to quickly design and animate something that visually and kinetically exemplified the levity and aesthetic established by the brand while simultaneously having a voice all on its own. Some weeks were more challenging than others, but ultimately it was a great skill-sharpening exercise and of course, receiving unsolicited on-air praise from the hosts and guests for a job well done was always appreciated, though sadly no lunches were bought! Below are a select few pieces that I personally created
from design to animation.
THE BUMPY AWARDS
The Bumpy Awards are The Bump's very own bi-annual awards show highlighting a myriad of WWE Universe best-of categories like “Rivalry of the Half Year” and “Cinematic Match of the Half Year” as selected by the Bump hosts and fans. The design aesthetic channels the expected gilded aesthetics of award shows while remaining rooted in the grungy/textured sensibilities of The Bump brand. Our incredible art director Erich Bartelbaugh designed the logo while I designed the overall look and feel.
